St George’s Bristol, Great George Street, Bristol BS1 5RR. (directions)
There will be some food from about 8pm.
Please arrive at the Glassboat by 12:00pm and at St George’s by 2:45pm.
We would love to be able to invite everyone to the legal ceremony. Unfortunately we are limited with seating on the Glassboat. So we hope you understand if you are invited to St George’s only. Our good friend Louisa Starr, will be conducting a “Tying the Knot” ceremony there at 3pm which is going to be something a bit more personal & fun!
The limitations also mean that we can’t have many children on the Glassboat so we are restricting it to the wedding party and those travelling from afar. Children are more than welcome at St George’s. Please let us know on the RSVP if you are bringing the kids and if they require a high-chair.

We have stuff, lots of stuff! So please don't worry about giving us anything, just come along and enjoy the party. However if you do wish to gift something, we are raising money for a Bristol-based charity so please go to our JustGiving page for more info.
Alternatively, if you really want to give us something directly, you probably know we are avid travellers, so a contribution to our honeymoon (destination TBC) would be amazing.
We are staying at the Bristol Royal Marriott, College Green, Bristol, BS1 5TA 0117 9255 100
You are welcome to join us. If you don't fancy the Royal Marriott, there are plenty of other hotels and B&Bs in Bristol but here are a few within 10-15 mins walk from St George’s. It’s worth using Trivago to find the best price as they do vary so much between websites. Of course there is always AirBnb too which Matt & I use all the time. If it’ll be your first time, do use this referral link as you’ll get £25 off your stay
Please be aware that many of the city centre hotels either don’t have parking or if they do, charge for parking so it may be cheaper to park in Trenchard Street car park.
As it’s in the centre of Bristol, parking is limited. The nearest carpark to the Glassboat is an NCP on Queen Charlotte St but it is ridiculously expensive so don’t go there unless you really need to! :) The best long-stay car park is Trenchard Street multi-storey BS1 5AN. It is open 24 hours and is only 10 mins walk from both venues.
directions to Glassboat
It’s approx 15 min walk from the Glassboat to St George’s via the city centre (see map below - St George’s is in top left section, Glass Boat is on the right). There is also a taxi rank on Baldwin Street just by the Glassboat. Or Matt swears by Uber (get a free ride with this code: mattb33352ue)
directions to St George’s
Glassboat - The Glassboat is a static boat in the harbourside and is easily accessible for all. Although there are no disabled toilets on the boat, they have an arrangement with the Mercure Hotel opposite to use their facilities. Cars can pull up outside the front door however there is no parking directly outside the venue. Some on-street metered parking is available a few minutes away on Welshback and there is the pricey Queen Charlotte St NCP just around the corner if you do need to park close by.
St George’s - The main access to St George’s on Great George St is via a large flight of steps. There is disabled access via the small car park at the rear which is on Charlotte Street. There is limited space in the car park (only 4 spaces) which will be used by caterers/band/etc so if you require nearby parking, there is on-street metered parking just outside. Otherwise Trenchard Street parking is 10 mins walk away. To access the building from the car park, there is a lift next to the rear steps. Someone will be there to assist you. If you are going to arrive at St George’s via the rear car park, do make sure you drive down Great Georges St first as the front of the building is worth a look.
Confetti needs to be something natural and easy to sweep up like real or dried petals. The paper type is not allowed as it's impossible to clean up. Please only use it on the steps at the front of St. George’s where it can be swept up easily.
Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. Our caterers are really accommodating and will do their best to find an alternative if there is anything you don’t eat and/or are allergic to. Plus if you think your kids won’t want to eat the main food, our caterers said they can do pizza instead! Do let us know when you RSVP if you’d like this.
For those of you who are staying in Bristol on Saturday night or those who fancy heading back into town on Sunday morning, we’re thinking of having a get together late Sunday morning for a bite to eat. Time and place to be confirmed, once we have a good idea of numbers. Please let us know if you would like to join us.
